1. Require a hike, in Stone Park
There are several pretty great spots to go hiking or camping in our very own State Stone Park. The nature preserve is stuffed with adventure, and naturally, wild furry creatures that we all love. You will find multiple campground sites and trails that any outdoors men wouldn’t mind to discover. Stone park even has a beautiful spot to grill out and also a picnic. Take a look at Turtle Pond and revel in your entire day outside.
2. Catch a show
Our personal Sioux City Community theater and our Shot in the Dark theater always has something up their sleeve. You may go catch a live show and see local talent in stage. From American Idiot, to Heather’s, to Shrek the musical, they’ve got everything at a reasonable price.
3. Grab a bite to nibble on at some of our local restaurants.
There exists a fun selection of restaurants that are only in Sioux City or even in the nearby tri-state area. Go grab an excellent coffee at either Jitters (they have got the ideal donuts) or Stone Bru. Or, if you’re planning to have lunch somewhere look at our new Blue Cafe. They have live music and several excellent food. Try the Kale chips!
4. Buy some fresh vegetables and fruit in the Farmers Market
Every Wednesday and Saturday morning the farmers market is set up near the Tyson Events Center. Local farmers and growers go to sell us a selection of their delicious fresh produce. But veggies and fruits aren’t the only real things you can purchase. You can even find some good bottles of local honey, bags of local coffee, and fun accessories produced by the people of Sioux City. Try a cupful of Rosie’s cold brew coffee. It is actually literally to die for. oh, of course, if they’re there, The Birds as well as the Bees honey is super yummy.
5. Go to Bacon Creek
Bacon Creek has many different small parks, a pet dog park, plus a trail that loops round the creek. It’s an entertaining location to go out about the boat, fish, go for a walk, have got a small gathering, or even to take your pet to socialize with many other dogs. It is possible to grab some bratwurst, some buns, a six-pack, and enjoy your kids play on the park while you grill out dinner.
6. If they’re around town, visit the Carnival
From June 1st-10th Summer fest is happening in top things to do in sioux city and you can proceed to the carnival! Go ride some super fun and scary rides and simply have a good time. 7. Have a Fire through the river
There are several spots in Sioux City to find small beaches next to the river. It is possible to put in place a fire and go fishing over a warm summer night. 8. Go notice a Movie from the Park

Though our downtown may be on the smaller side we all do have a lot to offer. We have now some fun little antique stores, game stores, and restaurants. Check out the Whistler shop and buy several things with some history linked to them, grab a bite to enjoy at one of our local Italian restaurants, Trattoria Fresco, or go tune in to some live music at Vangarde Arts.
10. Head to Saturday inside the Park
Every fourth of July weekend there exists a free music festival. Artists visit preform within the bandshell and there is a great deal of little kiosks waiting for you to go and purchase something cool. Every kiosk is rented out by local or traveling artists that are show casing their own personal hand made items. This coming year the tough Rock is setting the stage with some good music as well as the people of Sioux city are bringing the good vibes plus some excellent food.
